I just paid $4.43 per gallon at Arco - the cheapest gas around. So I started looking around and I found this great blog here (it's a blog all about Fuel efficiency, written by Gina Clark.

Using water for gas is becoming a popular topic, as people are looking for ways to improve gas mileage. But what do we know about it? Is it just a scam? A recent segment on one of the big networks dismissed it without comment. The water power was not looked at or discussed, leaving many questions. So let's look at it here, and you can be the judge.

Using water gas is a process that breaks down water using small amounts of energy. This allows HHO gas to be extracted from the water through the process of electrolysis. This creates Brown Gas, which is a burnable fuel. This gas is then combined to power a vehicle along with regular gasoline.

The water energy produced is safe and non-explosive. It has been tested and proven to work by Bell Laboratories. There are not peer-reviews, but there are anecdotal reports and evidence. It is also being reported that the government and corporations are conversing with the developers of water gas. Many videos are on the Internet that demonstrate the process of using water and creating Brown Gas, in addition to personal testimonies and experts.

Using water energy to improve gas mileage is a new phenomenon, but as the price of gas continues climbing, more and more individuals are converting their vehicles to run on water gas. In order to convert a car to run on water gas, a kit must be purchased. These kits contain instructions, usually in the form of e-books and manuals. Tools that can be found at any hardware store are also needed in order to make the conversion, averaging approximately $65.

Those who have converted their vehicles to run on water energy report a 35%-70% increase in fuel efficiency. Better engine performance and a longer engine life are also being reported by those using water gas.

Car companies design vehicles to get poor gas mileage. Only 25% of the energy in a gallon of gas is used, and 75% is wasted. Instead of making vehicles more fuel efficient, catalytic converters were designed to cook this extra 75% of the fuel before exiting the tailpipe. Car companies are even installing devices in many vehicles to prevent hydrogen generators from converting water to gas that must be disabled. = Now you decide who the scam artists are.

Zaadz is a social network like Facebook or Gather. People can open an account, connect with others, post blogs, build a list of friends and lots of other things. What Zaadz does a little differently is that they have rewritten the concept of "Social" in the social networking world. Social in the sense that they care about our world and it's people. When you click "you! (join now)" link (there version of register for an account), you must in mind agree to the Zaadz principles. The principles they set forth are: Harmony, Integrity, Peace, Trust, Truth, Unity and Finally, Love. You agree to these principles by clicking each word in a series of circles that resembles a flower.

On this page they explain the reason why. They explain that they are different than most other online communities. They are committed to the principles inside the circles.

They ask tht before you join to take a moment and commit (by clicking the circles), to these principles. Once you do (after all they are all great concepts) you're in.

So, is there a way to both serve this community and grow your business? You bet there is. Zaadz is the place to take advantage of the new green economy. Never has there been a place where so many socially conscious and active individuals gather together in one place. The emerging Green Economy, which I will here officially name Green 2.0, is growing by leaps and bounds. Experts predict that the green economy will overshadow the dot com boom.

There are five actions you can take to guide these socially minded folks to your web presence:

1. Create a Complete Profile - Just like the other social network sites (Plaxo and Myspace for example) you can create a profile. The content you add to this profile is extremely important. Remember this is the first thing other members will see about you and your business. You only get one chance to make a first impression. Make your profile complete. Add a cool title for yourself. Hard to explain but they will give you some examples like (Philosopher or Thinker), just go with it. Add a good description about you and your services in the about me section. Remember be complete.

2. Add Some Friends - Like the other sites, you can add friends. Click the "Zaadzsters" link and use the search feature to find people with similar interests or musical tastes. By adding friends, you increase your network. Remember the 7 Zaadz principles, you are not here only to benefit yourself, you are here to enlighten. By adding friends on Zaadz, you are connecting with loads of new people that have like interests, goals and dreams.

3. Join a Pod (Zaadz Group) - Browse Pods or use the Pod Tag feature to find a couple of pods that you fit into. Join and share your plans, your goals, your products with the other members. Share consciously, no one wants to be beset with a sales pitch on the first meeting. That's not the goal here. The goal is to build a group of like minded individuals, who, once you earn their trust, may very well become some of the best agents for you, your message and your products/services.

4. Post a Blog - With your Zaadz account, you get a blog. Here is the place where you get to add really powerful and stirring content filled with fabulous insight for your fellow community members. This doesn't have to be directly about you or your business but rather about the bigger picture that your business products/services address. For example, if you are a Plummer, don't write about the services you offer, write about the importance of good plumbing and home care.

5. Add an Event - Launching your new Service? Build an events page and invite all your new friends. On your events page you can add a link to your website and it even add a link to a Google Map. Marketing doesn’t get much easier (or more inexpensive!) than this.

Since the beginning, Zaadz has been labeled with a "New Age" tag. In my opinion, this is not a bad thing. After all, we are in a New Age of Green and Social Consciousness marketing and business. Go Green 2.0.

There are a bunch of social media platforms that you can become a part of today like Gather and Zaadz, and they all have their pros and cons. The best way to choose a social network site to become a part of is to have a look to see what kind of people who have already joined. To me, Facebook is one of the best websites for networking, both socially and professionally. I also use Linked In and Myspace. Of all the social networks, Facebook is a gem when it comes to all around marketing and networking.

I have been using Facebook for the past two years, and it is an excellent marketing tool to add to your marketing strategy. Here are 10 steps to take on Facebook to generate leads for your online business for FREE!

1. Make an Outstanding Profile: This is the FIRST thing that you must do to make an impression on Facebook . Think of your Facebook profile as part of your branding. A strong profile will include a photo of you. Don't use the one of you drunk at a party, unless that's what your selling. Make sure your new Facebook profile is complete. It should include your contact information, your web address (this is very important), education, work experience and your personal interests. A complete profile is the only way to go.

2. Add Friends: This is what sets Facebook apart - the ability meet new people, build relationships and watch them grow. The more relationships you start, the more dynamic your marketing efforts will be. You can use Facebook's own tools to find friends that are already members of Facebook. Once you add your friends, you can search for people with similar interests. Make their acquaintance, become their friend, build a relationship. One cool thing on Facebook is that you can see your friends' friends. This will help you build a monster network in no time.

3. Join Groups: You can join online groups within Facebook that are related to what you do. There are groups for authors, writers, and trainers. Almost every conceivable kind of professional service provider has some type of group on Facebook. I belong to many groups and have made many new contacts this way.

4. Create your Own Facebook Group: Can’t find a group that really fits? Create your own! You can add members, publish articles, carry on discussions, and more than likely meet quite a few prospects. And even if you find great group to belong to, start your own. This gives you the chance to be the trendsetter!

5. Syndicate your Blog Using RSS: You can syndicate your blog on your personal profile page. This basically means that every time you make a post, it will automatically show up on your profile page. More Exposure equals More Readers equals More Leads equals More Business. And the bonus is the back links to your site. I syndicate headlines from my three blogs on Facebook.

6. Comment on Other Peoples Profiles: Are you a follower or admirer of someone’s work? Reach out to them on Facebook! Many of my business acquaintances check their Facebook messages more consistently than their email. They are also more likely to answer Facebook messages. Don’t feel quite right sending out a message to someone you don’t know? Don't worry! Leave them a “just saying hi!” or “You Rock!” message on their wall. All profiles come with “virtual walls” where business associates can leave a message. The more comments you leave on your friend's Facebook profile page the more exposure you get!

7. List your Events: Launching your new Service? Create an events page and invite all those you know. You can even see who RSVPed and get feedback from your guests. Marketing doesn’t get much easier (or more inexpensive!) than this.

8. Send Virtual Gifts: Want to show your appreciation for someone? Send them a virtual gift. You can choose from a 4 leaf clover to a potted plant that actually sits on the your friends profile and grows over time (plus hundreds of others). With all the Facebook applications for gift giving available, what are you waiting for. This is a proven way to "win friends and influence people"!

9. Use Some Cool Apps: Facebook has literally a ton of applications that were built just for the site. Photo manipulators, sports, fashion and more. When you use an application, you get to invite your friends to use these fun mini applications (Apps). So just like number 8 above, this allows you another way to connect with your Facebook friends. Again, this helps you build important relationships.

10. Build a Community: More than likely Facebook’s greatest benefit is that it allows you to build a community. It provides you a group of people who are perpetually connected to you, and they are open to hearing what you have to say. Write on people’s walls, give them feedback, and introduce them to each other. Start building your brand and leveraging Facebook for marketing!

Facebook is a awesome (can we still use that word) place to introduce yourself to a bunch of new people who may also become customers and/or clients. Just keep one thing in mind: don't get too carried away and spend all your time there. Facebook is a tool, part of your online business plan. Use the tips above, use them wisely and have a little fun at the same time.
